“Ecological Restoration” and the right philosophy of ecological civilization

Abstract: Ecological remediation is not equal to ecological restoration. In the context of industrial civilization, many pollution control and ecological remediation projects have been covered with a “pseudo-ecological” cloak, driven and promoted by capital. This kind of engineering construction guided by the thought on industrial civilization is almost irreversible to the disturbance and destruction of nature, and to a large extent destroys the original natural ecological environment, posing a huge threat to local biodiversity. In the era of ecological civilization, we need to respect and protect nature and obey nature’s laws, and guide the development of pollution control and ecological restoration with the right philosophy of ecological civilization such as the three axioms of pollution control and four principles of ecological restoration.
