A brief introduction to the achievements of China’s economic and social green development

Abstract: Green is the backdrop color for high-quality economic development. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the party and the country have always placed the concept of green development in a prominent position in development, and profoundly answered a series of major theoretical and practical problems encountered in development. The green development of China’s economy and society has undergone historic, transforming and overall changes. This paper systematically sorts out the major achievements of China’s green development in the new era from the aspects of ecological environment governance, industrial and energy structure adjustment, green finance, green technology innovation, green consumption, etc., and puts forward feasible suggestions on how to further promote green transformation of China’s society and economy during the 14th Five-Year period (2021-2025).
