Abstract:

China has a high diversity of reefbuilding coral species, with Nansha Islands having the highest diversity. In view of the current situation of largescale bleaching and death of native corals, Chen Hong and his team conducted systematic research and practice on coral artificial breeding and transplantation technology by using cell mass tissue culture, and made continuous study to explore the conditions for molecular identification of coral in order to establish a coral seed bank.
