Abstract:
If we are to give a time boundary to Ge Yuxiu’s book, it should be dated back to 1995. By that time, the name Chinese Antelope was not born yet. All over the world, only a very small number of such wild antelopes lived around the Qinghai Lake and the public had little knowledge about them. The scarce and endangered situation of Chinese Antelopes caught Ge Yuxiu’s attention, and challenged his ambition as a photographer. He recorded the wild animal through words and photos. Now Chinese Antelopes are gaining more and more attention and protection from the society. Its population quantity has resumed to about 3,000.
Key words: Chinese Antelopes, Qinghai, biodiversity, species protection
