【聚焦】Liu Huajie: Prudence Needed in Site-selection of China’s National Arboretum

Abstract:

Beijing is not a suitable site for national arboretum. There are limited plant species that can be cultivated outdoor in Beijing. Land is in short supply in Beijing, so it is not easy to find a large enough site. Compared with other cities, Beijing has no advantage. Ex-situ Conservation is both unrealistic and against the natural laws.
