Abstract:
In recent years, tourism experiences rapid development and ecological tourism gets strong support from the government. The Lugu Lake, as one the nine big high land lakes, its water quality has remained at level I. Its advantaged geographic location makes Lugu Lake a travel destination and draws large scale of tourists each year. While tourism has promoted the local economic development, it has also caused conflicts between the all-for-one tourism development and ecological environment protection. With an aim to better understand the current situation of ecological environment protection and the effect of tourism development, we conducted biodiversity surveys in the Lugu Lake area, on topics including the environmental protection policies made by the government, the attention given to ecological environment, biodiversity awareness of the tourist, residents and business people inside the Lugu Lake resort. Research methods include material collection, questionnaire survey, interviews and seminars, as well as on-site inspection. We proposed biodiversity protection and development measures using analysis based on the investigation results, and hope to provide reference for the government in all-for-one tourism development and ecological environment protection of Lugu Lake.
