Abstract:

Botanical garden is an institution that requires people’s support. Beijing has the advantage of being the capital and has the strong support of the local government. Setting up the first national arboretum in Beijing does not reject more such gardens to be set up in other cities. It is true that Beijing is not a hot spot for plant biodiversity, but it can still play an important role in plant diversity conservation.
