Abstract: This paper systematically analyzes the current status of fireflies watching tourism development and its ethical dilemma. The article discusses four types of economic activities, including ecotourism projects, cultural festivals, “ecological” firefly release parks in suburban areas, and firefly releases in urban squares, and deeply explores ethical issues such as habitat destruction, light pollution, over-capture, and ecological imbalance. The study points out key issues in the industrialization of fireflies, such as misleading public education and the credibility of artificial breeding. Based on the concept of “One Health”, it proposes sustainable development strategies such as strengthening scientific research, improving legal and regulatory protection, promoting community participation, and strengthening education and publicity, in order to achieve a balance between economic development and ecological protection.
