Abstract: Located in the western part of Zhejiang Province and connected to Fujian, Jiangxi and Anhui Provinces, Quzhou, Zhejiang Province, has a subtropical monsoon climate with abundant water and heat resources, numerous rivers and more than 70% forest coverage. In September 2023, the Research Department of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) went to Quzhou to conduct research on the situation of birds and transmission lines. According to on-site research, the Quzhou Power Supply Company has successfully implemented the governance concepts and measures of “blocking the upper and diverting to the lower for the coexistence of lines and birds, and harmony between man and nature” by zoning management of bird-caused breakdown areas within the city. The rate of network failure caused by bird behaviors has been successfully reduced over time to no more than once a year.
